The Rolling Stones – Let It Bleed Super Deluxe Edition Unboxing
The Rolling Stones’ Let It Bleed is one of my favourite albums by the band—and it contains my favourite Rolling Stones song of all time: “Gimme Shelter.”
In this video, I open the limited 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition and explore everything inside, including the mono and stereo vinyl albums, hybrid SACDs, replica “Honky Tonk Women” single, artwork prints, poster and magnificent 80-page hardback book.
I also explain why the attention to detail took me back to the original vinyl copy I gave away during the great vinyl cull of the early 1990s, why the book is the heart of this collection and why “Gimme Shelter” has resonated with me since I first heard it as a young teenager.
There is no large collection of unreleased music here, so does the quality of the presentation make this box set worth owning?
