Five Rolling Stones songs, all approachable, all worth knowing. Dead Flowers is three chords, D, A, and G, and it strums beautifully right away. Sympathy for the Devil is just as easy with E, D, and A driving the whole thing. You Can’t Always Get What You Want runs on C major to F major and has that classic big chord feel.
Then Satisfaction gives you your first taste of a signature Stones riff, and Start Me Up takes you into Keith Richards’ Open G tuning, where a simple barre shape and a little boogie move on the D string is really all you need.
