This is the unboxing of the Gibson Custom Shop Keith Richards 1960 ES-355 Collector’s Edition, aged and signed by Keith Richards himself. I’ve known about this guitar for months after seeing it during a Gibson Custom Shop tour, but I was sworn to secrecy — until now.
In this video, we experience the unboxing together for the very first time. No peeking, no spoilers. From the heavy-duty protector case to the Murphy Lab aging, this is one of the most impressive unboxings I’ve ever done.
This Keith Richards ES-355 is a faithful recreation of his legendary 1960 Ebony ES-355, famously used on Exile on Main St. and Sticky Fingers, both in the studio and on the road. While Keith is often associated with Telecasters, this ES-355 is a huge part of his story and Rolling Stones history.
Only 100 aged and signed examples of this guitar exist worldwide, and Keith’s signature is located on the interior label, making this one of the most desirable Gibson Custom Shop artist models ever produced.
From the case candy to the feel, tone, and overall vibe, this is easily one of the coolest guitars Gibson Custom Shop and the Murphy Lab have ever released. Hands down the wildest unboxing I’ve done to date.
